Band Crush Wednesday: Where we (Kelsey, Marisa, Valerie, Debbie, and Todd) here at LivingTheVanLife feature one band that we cannot get enough of!

This week’s Band Crush Wednesday: Lilac Lungs

You can check out their music video for their track “Uh Oh” below!

Lilac Lungs is a indie-rock band based out of Detroit, Michigan. The band is comprised of Emily Torres (Vocals), JohneyBirrell (Guitar), Terrance Elizondo (Bass) and Matt Jones (Drums).

The band creates an emotional roller coaster with their 10-track, debut full-length entitled Eventide. Recorded by Lee Albrecht at Lee Albrecht Studios, Eventide is set to be released May 12, but listeners hoping for a preview can do so by checking out the band’s music videos for “Uh Oh” (above) or “Next to Nothing” (below).

“This album came from a very genuine and emotional place for us. Nonetheless, we never fail to push ourselves to strive for new sounding music to give whoever listens to these songs a refreshing, yet nostalgic experience. You can expect to hear catchy pop songs, as well as an intriguing alternative side that you have never heard. By pushing our musical abilities while making this album, we were able to be as creative as we possibly could. Mixing familiar tastes that derived from our musical backgrounds with new and unique techniques we’ve never tried before, the songs on ‘Eventide’ were created. We hope you enjoy what you hear, as this album takes you on a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish,” said Lilac Lungs’ guitarist Johney Birrell.
