Fire From The Gods recently premiered their music video for their track “The Voiceless.” Directed by Ramon Boutviseth, the hardcore metal band’s latest music video calls attention to how seeing violent or graphic events has become so normalized in our society that we have become desensitized to all of the death and violence that surrounds us. The powerful message of the track is matched throughout the song with the intensity of the vocals. Combining with the vocals, the vigorous tone of the instrumentals aid creating an overall authoritative feel that demands the attention of the listener.
“‘The Voiceless’ is referring to the callousness of society. This generation is exposed to so many shocking and graphic events. No one seems to bat an eye. There is no compassion or care for one’s fellow man. Violence towards each other is a normal occurrence factored into our lives these days. Speaking up about it is nothing new, but it needs to be said. Yes, the world will keep spinning, and life does go on, but we need to slow down and smell the fucking roses once in a while,” said Fire From The Gods’ vocalist AJ Channer.
“The Voiceless” was produced by Jonathan Davis (KORN) and is off their upcoming full length album, Narrative Retold, which is due out May 19th via Rise Records.
